A TEENAGE girl who suffered a life-threatening condition as a child has made a video explaining why she wants to raise money for the hospital which saved her.
Amelia Venables, a pupil at the FitzWimarc School, Rayleigh, suffered from a rare hemangoima, a tumour in her throat, palate and nose and was heading towards her left eye.
Amelia, now 14, approached her school council and asked if they could help her raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital where she was treated.
The school held a week of activities including a staff volleyball match, a sumo wrestling match, sponsored fancy dress and performances from students.
