HE is a seminal name on the scene, having produced the Temptations and DJ’d at the world’s first ever soul and jazz dance weekender in Norfolk – and Dr Bob Jones will be at the Cliffs Pavilion to get soul-lovers dancing today (May 26).
He made his name as a dancefloor DJ, but has produced over 30 different artists including Al Green, Daryl Hall, Swing Out Sister, Izit, Squeeze and Bobby Womack. He is also a familiar name for readers of Muzik Magazine and is one of the founder members of the British R&B Association.
Dr Bob Jones will be behind the decks at Soul at the Pavilion in the Maritime Room, Cliffs Pavilion, Station Road, Westcliff, from 9pm. Entry is £10.
