Pedestrian suffered serious head injuries after collision with car in Wickford

A PEDESTRIAN suffered serious head injuries after she was hit by a car in Wickford .
The 19 year-old local woman was walking across the juntion of Cranfield Park Road and Caladonia Lane at 6.45pm on Friday when the collision happened.
She was taken to Basildon Hospital and later transferred to Queens Hospital in Romford.
The female driver of the black Fiat 500 car is from Grays.
Police want to speak to anyone who was in the area and witnessed the incident.
They are urged to contact Ps Martin Allen at Southern Road Policing unit, Laindon, on 101.
