Fire breaks out in Basildon home

FIREFIGHTERS were called to tackle a blaze at a home in Basildon.

The fire broke out in the ground floor of a property in Wetherland at around 12:55pm on Saturday.

Two crews from Basildon fire station attended the incident and managed to extinguish the fire by 1:10pm.

There were no reported casualties.

It is not yet clear what started the fire.
