Southend Airport cancels flight

8:23pm Sunday 10th February 2013 in Local News

Southend Airport has cancelled a flight.

The flight to Venice has been cancelled due to runway closure there.

The Airport said it was not connected to  snowfall.

Passengers are advised to contact easyJet for more information.

Last night (as its started to snow here)The headline did state due to snow ...but has now been changed to a more suitable one, as it did come across as due to snow at Southend airport., also not sure i would check the echo website for my cancelled or on scheduled flight.

Always check with the airport/airline its self.

The Echo should at least have "edited story" at the top of the article, as anyone reading it for the first time will be confused by the comments, prehaps include a link to the original article that they posted up.

To save confusion......The headline had the word Snow in it...like southend airport cancels flight due to snow....and also in the original there was no mention of venice or runway closure OR easyjet, i guess who ever was doing the news items on a sunday evening didn't research a little bit and wanted to get the news item on here fast, thinking because there was a smuttering of snow in the air outside it was southend that had problems when it was posted/reported on here at 8.23pm....but when they realised (and after reading the comments on here...because they do get read) it was updated.
