TEENAGER has appeared in court accused of raping a man in a Southend park.
Andrezj Kwiatkowski, 18, is alleged to have launched the sex attack at Priory Park in the early hours of Saturday morning.
He is alleged to have dragged the 20-year-old victim into some bushes near to the Prittlwell Bowls Club at about 4.30am that day.
He appeared before Southend Magistrates Court still dressed in one of the red tracksuits handed out in police custody.
Throughought the hearing he spoke only to confirm his name, age, and that he lives in Jones Close, Southend.
He was charged with three counts of rape and two of sexual assault. Kwiatkowski was also charged with a separate incident which happened that day in the alleyway leading from Kenway to East Street, Southend.
He is alleged to have attempted a knife-point robbery on a 32-year-old male victim from Southend.
He faces charges of attempted robbery and possession of a blade in relation to this allegation.
No bail application was made on behalf of Kwiatkowski and he was remanded in custody by the court.
He is due to enter a plea in the week commencing June 24 at Basildon Crown Court.
