Quilters Junior School is coming to terms with the loss of a popular teacher, who died suddenly.
Sarah Cobb, who was in her twenties, passed away suddenly at her home last week.
Pupils at the school, in Laindon Road, Billericay, are devastated by the popular teacher’s death.
The school closed last Thursday and Friday as a mark of respect and to allow children to take in the news.
It reopened on Monday and staff have been comforting children following the tragedy.
It is understood youngsters have also been taking part in prayer sessions with the Rev Paul Carr, from the nearby Emmanuel Church.
The school was too upset to comment to the Echo yesterday.
It is understood Ms Cobb was in charge of running the school’s annual festive shoebox appeal, where children fill shoeboxes with goodies for under-privileged children around the world.
The Echo understands pupils will continue with the charity event this year, in honour of their muchloved teacher.
