Kitchen fire in Hadleigh
A TOASTER caught fire in a sheltered housing flat this morning.
The woman switched the electric off and put the fire out before fire crews from Rayleigh Weir arrived.
The call was received at 5.19am to Westwood Court in beresford Close.
There was very little smoke or fire damage and the woman was unhurt.
The smoke alarm system had sounded and alerted Careline who contacted the fire brigade.
