FIREFIGHTERS tackled a blaze in a bedroom in Chafford Hundred this afternoon.
Two fire crews, from Grays and Orsett, were called to the fire on Gilbert Road at 1.05pm today.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel to extinguish the fire, which was in the bedroom of a detached house.
The blaze was put out by 1.16pm, and a high pressure fan was used to clear the building of smoke.
No casualties are reported.
