POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a burglary in Leigh where jewellery was stolen.

The break-in happened in Manchester Drive, near to Bonchurch Park, when the front door of a house was forced between 1pm on Monday and 12.50pm on Wednesday. The items stolen included a ladies silver Cameo ring and a gold ring set with a pink stone.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Dc Shelley Utley, or her colleagues at Southend, on 101. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
