VOTERS in the Rochford District could see ward boundaries changed for the 2016 local elections.
The council will undertake a public consultation from July 22 to September 29 to determine new boundaries across the district.
The Local Government Boundary Commission for England is currently conducting an ‘Electoral Review’ into ward boundaries.
A second consultation on draft recommendations will take place from December 2014 to February 2015.
The district is currently split into 19 wards with up to three councillors representing each one.
Most wards are likely to experience some change, be it boundary placement, name or the number of councillors per area and recommendations will be published in May 2015.
The purpose of the review is to deliver electoral equality for voters, for more information visit www.lgbce.org.uk
