A WOMAN has died in hospital after a car crash in Benfleet last week.
Police were called to Kents Hill Road shortly after 2pm on Thursday, May 15 after reports that a Nissan Micra car had crashed through a fence and collided with a wall.
They are now appealing for witnesses to the incident.
The 92-year-old female driver was taken to Southend Hospital with suspected chest injuries. She died at the hospital on Monday.
The woman, who was from Benfleet, was the only occupant of the Micra.
A post mortem examination will be held to establish the cause of death.
