A SCHOOL will today say goodbye to three of its longest-serving teachers.
Malcolm Perry, Angie Davie and Eiblis Howlett have taught at Appleton School, in Croft Road, Benfleet, for a combined 56 years.
Mrs Davie, who has been there 24 years, said: “I have loved working at this outstanding school.
“I will miss the staff, but most of all I will miss the fantastic pupils.”
Mrs Howlett, who has taught food technology for 13 years at the secondary school, plans to continue with supply teaching following her retirement.
She said: “I am very passionate about my subject and would like to review food as well.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at the school and have seen it go from strength to strength.”
