Guns taken during burglary

First published in Local News

GUNS have been stolen from a house on Canvey.

Ten Airsoft rifles, which fire pellets, were taken during a burglary in Zealand Drive which happened sometime overnight on Tuesday.

Police said the guns look realistic and are appealing for help tracking them down.

Dc Tom Caton said: "The owner told me that they are rare/custom weapons which wouldn’t ordinarily be bought in a shop and are worth £2000. I would urge anyone with any information about the burglary or the weapons to contact me at Southend CID on 101 or via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."

The burglar is lucky he broke into the only house on Canvey without a well stocked arsenal of offensive weapons.

First car bumpers, then guns, whatever next! I do notice a pattern of night time crimes occuring in Canvey, has nobody thought that perhaps a bit of police patrol on the tiny island may be a tiny bit of a deterrent? Just a thought

Hardly the crime capital of Essex. Romford and Basildon must have more crime per square feet.

What a big kid this burgled moron is, having those plastic toys on the wall, which should be yellow/pink in colour to be held legally.

Why must they? Combined maybe but sarfend is leading the way, even the police admit London gangs are venturing into southend to commit murder.

Hope the Police check the victims computer, because its a known fact that people who are attracted to imitation assault rifles and killing fantasies, often harbour ****, which brings into question iknowbetter's defence.

If only you actually knew the law you're quoting, full black Replica Imitation Firearms can be owned with a valid defence...

Or they enjoy playing airsoft and aren't homicidal maniacs that close-minded people like yourself make them out to be.
