A MAN was left with head injuries after being assaulted in Pitsea.

The 46 year-old was struck on the head as he walked down Station Lane at about 8.40pm on Saturday, August 2.

He was taken to hospital for treatment and needed staples to close the wound.

Police have released CCTV images of two men they believe could be responsible for the attack.

Anyone with information is urged to call Pc Stu Sheridan at Basildon CID on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
