BUDDING bakers showed off their skills when the Seevic College Bake Off classes resumed.
Catering manager Justin Arnold and head chef Becca Blythe gave expert advice to about 80 people who attended the event at the college in Runnymede Chase, Benfleet, where they had the chance to create sweet treats, including raspberry heart shaped cupcakes with vanilla butter cream, a giant M&M cookie and pizza.
Justin said: “It is always great to see so many people come together from the local community. The majority come in with little cooking experience and it is rewarding to see them leave having baked wonderful goods.
“We wanted to bring local families into the college and give them the chance to cook together, and promote the Community Learning experience. We’ve been very successful in that respect.
“There are smiles all round at the end of the day.”
