THE body of a man who died up to eight months ago has been discovered in his home.
Colin Latimore, who was in his 50s, was found after police were called to his house in Witchards, Basildon, by the owners of the property, St George's Housing.
Neighbours said they had not seen him since November and spoke affectionately about the former Teddy Boy. Police confirmed he had been dead for "several months".
One neighbour said: "It's terrible, but the neighbours wouldn't have known because he kept himself to himself. He was a quiet man, but he was always pleasant, polite and said hello'."
Police said Mr Latimore's body had been removed by undertakers and taken to Basildon Hospital for a post mortem. His death is not being treated as suspicious.
