DOCTORS from Southend Hospital are swapping one white uniform for another when they play in a fundraising cricket match.
Staff will be split into teams, playing for finance director Brian Shipley or medicine director Grahame Tosh.
The game on Sunday is to mark the hospital's 75th anniversary and raise funds for the charitable foundation's StrokeBusters Appeal.
The match is at Wellstead Gardens Sports and Social Club, in Wellstead Gardens, Westcliff, from 1.45pm.
Charitable foundation chairman Colin George, who will umpire, said: "I am delighted that so many hospital staff and their families and friends are supporting the StrokeBusters Appeal.
"This important appeal will help to save lives and reduce the damage caused from a stroke and, once this project is completed, we will have one of the top stroke units in the country."
