A MAN accused of running a brothel has had the charges against him dropped.
Yang Yu, 33, was arrested by police following a raid on the brothel, in Waldegrave, Basildon.
The bust followed claims from neighbours a brothel was being run at the premises.
Three people - a woman, 36, arrested on suspicion of running a brothel, and a man, 37, and 38-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of immigration offences - were all later released without charge.
Mr Yu, the fourth person, was charged with managing a brothel, but that was withdrawn through lack of evidence when he appeared at Basildon Magistrates' Court.
