TEENAGERS who broke a bus windscreen by hurling water-bombs are being sought by police.
Officers want help to find the five youngsters who attacked the unmarked single-decker bus as it made its way along Downhall Road, Rayleigh, towards the Hambro Hill junction.
The yobs, aged between 13 and 15, were laying in wait at a bus stop in Downhall Road.
They began throwing the water bombs, smashing the front passenger side window and caused the bus to brake sharply.
Then they ran off. There were no passengers on board the airport transfer bus, which operates from Stansted airport, and the driver was not hurt.
PC Paul Levene, of Rayleigh police, said: "This was foolhardy and could have caused a very serious accident.
"It is important we trace the youngsters responsible. We would like to hear from anyone who saw the incident."
The cost of the damage is estimated at £300.
Anyone with information is urged to call Rayleigh Police on 01268 775533.
