YOUNGSTERS with a passion for football have put their dribbling skills to the test this summer, at specialist soccer camps.
Colin Henwood, 58, who is chairman of Benfleet Villa Football Club, has organised the camps every other week this summer.
Held at the John Barrows Recreation Ground off Rectory Road, in Hadleigh, the football camps are for five to 14-year-old girls and boys.
They run weekdays, Tuesday to Friday, from 10am to 3pm and are led by qualified coaches.
Mr Henwood said: "The children who come to our groups get a lot of enjoyment out of playing with youngsters their own age and of different abilities.
"They also learn a lot from the coaches and get satisifaction out of knowing their skills have developed over the course of the week.
"We also run training sessions at the Rectory Road ground every Saturday throughout the year.
"The only time we don't play is if there's 6ft of snow, which is rare in Essex."
Mr Henwood added the next soccer camp will be held from Tuesday, August 28, to Friday, August 31.
The cost for the four-day course is £50, but this varies according to the number of days a child attends.
