CHILDREN lit up the stage when they performed for family and friends at their end-of-year concert.
The pupils from Helen O'Grady Children's Drama Academy, in South Wood-ham Ferrers, showed their skills at Brentwood Theatre.
Almost 200 youngsters aged five to 17, from Benfleet, Billericay, Leigh, Brentwood, and Wickford, took part in the show.
The Old Woman in the Shoe and Pirate Joe were among the themes.
Dina Nicol, principal, said: "It is a delight to see the shows come together and to observe the development of the children over their time with the academy.
"The support of parents and schools in the local community is fantastic and we always look forward to our productions, when every student can be involved in something so positive and successful."
