A TEENAGER who suffered life-threatening injuries in a horrific road crash is still recovering in hospital.
The boy, a 19-year-old from Basildon, is in a stable condition at Basildon Hospital.
He suffered severe head and chest injuries in the early morning crash on Eastymayne in Basildon.
He lost control of his grey Citroen Saxo and ploughed into railings at the roundabout underneath the Nevendon flyover.
The car was impaled on a railing and the driver had to be cut free by firefighters.
Police investigating the crash are still appealing for witnesses to come forward.
