A SON who crashed his mum's car after a boozing session has been banned from driving.
John Haggar, 21, drunk four cans of Stella Artois before getting behind the wheel of his mum's Ford Fiesta.
While taking it for a spin he smashed into the wall of a house in Felmores End, Pitsea, at 9.30pm on Thursday, August 9.
Police were called and found the car, but no trace of Haggar.
Prosecuting Philip Pearson told Basildon Magistrates' Court police traced the car back to Haggar's mum.
They went to see her and she called her son who admitted drink driving.
He was breathalysed and failed the test.
Haggar, of Little Searles, Pitsea, pleaded guilty to driving while under the influence of alcohol.
He was banned from driving for 16 months, fined £200 and ordered to pay £200 costs.
