SOUTH Woodham's Marsh Farm Country Park is finally fully open this week, now concerns over foot-and-mouth disease have died down.

Vistors can now tour the working farm in the park again and will be able to see sheep, goats, cows and pigs - although foot dips for all visitors will remain in place.

Marketing officer Lisa Flecknell said the restrictions placed on the animals had only been a precaution.

The decision to reopen was on Government scientists' advice.

She said: "It has been quiet over the past few weeks and we would like to thank all visitors who have supported us over this time.

"Visitors understand why we put in the precautions, and we hope now that we're reopening they will continue to support the farm."

During the summer holidays the farm has been host to Children's Enter-tainer of the Year 2007 Michael Fitch.

While the animals were off-limits, staff introduced new games for visitors.
