KARIN Nicholas from Hullbridge is taking on a huge taske when she sets out on Breast Cancer Care's Ben Nevis Challenge in October.
Karin, 43, who works for the East of England Ambulance Service, is aiming to raise funds for Breast Cancer Care, which offers free information and support to those affected by breast cancer.
She is hoping people in Southend and the surrounding area will sponsor her.
Karin chose Breast Cancer Care in memory of her best friend, Barbara Hobbs, who lost her battle with breast cancer. Karin added: "I am really keen to raise as much money as possible for Breast Cancer Care and would really welcome sponsorship."
Ellie Sleeman, head of events at Breast Cancer Care, said: "We are delighted Karin has chosen to support us.
"Every contribution makes a difference and funds raised will go towards ensuring we can continue to offer vital support for women and men with breast cancer, as well as their partners, families and friends."
