SHOEBURY hosted one of the biggest Hindu festivals ever seen in the UK.
About 15,000 people, from all over the country, des-cended on East Beach for the Ganesh ceremony to worship one of the most important gods of the Hindu religion.
Similar events took place around the globe on the same day, but the Shoebury event, organised by Shree Jalaram Seva Trust, is thought to be one of the biggest outside India.
