A BOY was taken to hospital after a bull terrier bit his face.
The nine-year-old was left with serious facial wounds and stitches after being bitten in Link Road, Canvey.
He was with his mother and younger sister walking towards First Avenue when the attack happened at 6.30pm on Monday, October 13.
They came across a group of people, a man, woman a teenager and three young children with two adult dogs and two puppies. THe adult dogs were white Staffordshire bull terriers.
While the boy stroked one of the dogs, the other dog bit him in the face.
An ambulance was called and the boy from Canvey was given a number of stitches for serious facial wounds.
Police would like the owners of the dogs to come forward or anyone who recognises the owners to call them on 0300 333 4444.
