A TUTOR has admitted five counts of sexually abusing a ten-year-old schoolgirl.
Davy Nicholls, 47, pleaded guilty to four counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
He also admitted one count of causing a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity when he appeared at Basildon Crown Court yesterday via video link.
The offences relate to a ten-year-old girl and took place between March and September.
Nicholls, of Hamstel Road, Southend, pleaded not guilty to one count of sexual assault of a child.
The Crown Prosecution Service says it will formally ask at a later date for this matter to lie on file.
The case was adjourn-ed for a probation report and Nicholls was re-manded in custody.
He will reappear at Basildon Crown Court for sentencing on Thursday, December 18.
