PARENTS taking children to a daycare centre are furious they have been blocked from driving into a car park to pick up and drop off their kids.
The families say there has been traffic chaos along Prittlewell Chase after Chase High School installed a barrier. It has blocked access to the Funky Factory daycare centre which is based at the school.
School staff have said the barrier is necessary to safeguard the health and safety of pupils because of unauthorised cars entering the car park.
Southend Council is investigating the complaints about the barrier and the matter is being reviewed by the school, the council and sports centre operator Creating Leisure, which runs the Chase Sport and Fitness Centre, also based at the school.
