A GROUNDSMAN’s shed which went up in flames is thought to have been torched by arsonists.
Firefighters from Basildon station were called to the incident in Gloucester Park, Basildon, just after 7pm this evening and spent an hour battling the blaze.
Station officer Steve Hill said there was thick, black smoke pouring from the 5m by 10m building, which had plastic objects inside.
He said the shed was was badly burned and they are treating the fire as suspicious.
