A TENANT who infuriated neighbours by throwing a washing machine and glass table down a communal staircase and by playing loud music and swearing, failed to convince a judge he should be allowed to stay in his flat.

Michael Morgan, of Appleford Court, Basildon, inflicted a campaign of “aggressive and abusive” behaviour on those living in his block of flats, as well as an employee of his landlord, Swan Housing Association.

He had 13 allegations proved against him and a possession order was made against him at Southend County Court in October, on grounds he had breached his tenancy.

Yesterday Morgan represented himself at London’s Court of Appeal to try to persuade Lord Justice Wilson to let him stay, but his appeal was turned down and he can now be evicted.
