BRITISH Transport Police have released a picture of a man who is wanted in connection with an attempted robbery of three teenagers on a train last month.

The incident happened on board the 9.34pm Liverpool Street to Southend Victoria rail service on Tuesday, January 13.

Det Con Gary Wildman of the British Transport Police Robbery Squad said: “A man and two women, all aged 18, boarded the train service at Rochford station at around 10.25pm.

“Once on board the train they were approached by a man who threatened them and demanded that they hand over their property.

“Despite the threatening and intimidating behaviour the youths did not hand over any of their belongings and the man got off the train when it stopped at Southend Victoria station.”
