A MAN has been charged following a stabbing in Southend.
A 23-year-old man was left with severe neck injuries following an attack in Warrior Square at 4pm on Friday.
He was taken to hospital by paramedics and has since been discharged.
Andrew Woods, 27, of York Road, Southend has been charged with cauing GBH with intent and possession of a knife.
He has been detained in custody and will appear at Southend Magistrates' Court on Monday.
A 28-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman also arrested in connection with the incident have been released without charge.
