TWO men were arrested in Westcliff by police investigating an armed robbery.
Colin Garrod, 41, of Great Knightleys, Basildon and Barry Askew, 51, of Mallows Green, Harlow have been charged with a series of offences relating to a robbery.
The robbery took place in Sainsbury's in Harlow on February 26. Two men armed with firearms threatened a security guard and escaped with a five figure sum of cash.
Garrod and Askew were arrested in Westcliff on Thursday and appeared in court today.
They were remanded in custody to appear at Southend Crown Court on May 8.
