Sharing experiences – Guides past and present at the celebration party
LOCAL Guides held a reunion to celebrate their group’s 50th anniversary.
Current and past members of 2nd Corringham Guides came together to celebrate the event with a slide show of pictures from the group’s history.
Present-day Guides served guests with refreshments and talked to them about the group’s activities.
One woman came from as far away as Scotland while another honoured guest at the event, at the Scout and Guide Hall in St John’s Way, Corringham, was the woman who served as district commissioner when the unit was first formed in 1959.
