Scene of attack – the One Stop store in Vange where the woman was attacked at gunpoint
A TERRIFIED woman screamed in terror as a gun-wielding thug tried to rob her outside a shop in Vange.
The victim, 47, from Basildon, was about to get into her car when the would-be robber threatened her and tried to snatch her handbag.
The woman, who had been in the shop, immediately began screaming to alert customers inside. As a result, the suspect fled empty-handed.
Detectives now want witnesses to the late night attack outside the One Stop Convenience Shop in Marsh View Court.
