A NEW bus for shoppers is set to be launched next month.
Arriva is introducing the number 33, which will stop off at Asda, in Shoebury, and the B&Q store, at Fossetts Farm.
It will run five days a week from June 22 and will stop off at Temple Sutton, St Luke’s, Southchuch, and Bournes Green areas.
Southend Council transport and planning councillor Anna Waite said: “This new service is excellent news as it opens up more shopping choices for people who use public transport.
“It brings more opportunities for people to visit stores, while bringing less congestion and less pollution.”
Full details of the times of service 33 can be obtained from the Travel Shop, in Southend Travel Centre, by calling 0844 8004411.
