TWO of the three men who were arrested following an armed robbery on a Westcliff bookmakers on Monday have been named.
Reza Mahdavian, 35, of Kursaal Way, Southend and Dorian McCallum, 30, of Park Street, Westcliff will appear at Southend Magistrates court today charged with robbery and possession of a knife. A 31-year-old man from Southend was also arrested and has been released on bail until July 9.
At around 5pm on Monday two men entered the shop, one armed with a sword and the other with an axe.
They stole a three-figure sum before making off in a car driven by a third male.
