A MAN who aims to scale Britain’s three tallest peaks for a children’s hospice has hit a snag – his transport has broken down.

Richard Hession and four friends from the Kent hospital where he works, are planning to attempt the Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for Little Havens, Thundersley, where his wife is a nurse.

The five hope to scale Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon, in the space of 24 hours, setting out on Friday.

But with days to go, their transport has broken down, leaving Richard appealing for the loan of a minibus or van big enough to accommodate seven people.

Richard, 29, of Mayflower Road, Chafford Hundred, said: “We’ve done a lot of training. I’ve been going to the gym two or three times a week and running a lot.

“It’s been a lot of effort. That’s why we want to make the trip a good one.”

Anyone who can spare a suitable vehicle from Friday until Monday, June 29 should e-mail Richard as soon as possible at Richard_hession@hotmail.com
