A VAN driver from Basildon, arrested in connection with the death of a motorcyclist, has had his bail extended.
The 43-year-old was arrested following the crash, in Braxted Road, Great Braxted, near Maldon, on Friday, June 12.
Biker Steven Emsden, 49, from Cromwell Road, Colchester, died after his black Suzuki GSXR bike was involved in a collision with a green Ford Transit van.
Mr Emsden suffered serious head injuries and died shortly afterwards at Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford. The man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving and released on bail until the weekend.
He returned to answer his bail and was rebailed until September, to allow police to continue their investigations.
