CREDIT crunch, long school holidays, moving house or just work pressure. All these situations can make people feel extremely stressed or anxious.

But a counselling service, which helps people deal with stress, anxiety, anger management and loss, is to hold a free workshop to show people how they can deal with their feelings better.

Atrium Counselling and Therapy Clinic, based in Weston Road, Southend, will be at Leigh Primary Care Centre for a free stress-busting day on Tuesday, June 30, from 10am to 1pm.

Atrium has just produced a series of leaflets on how to deal with a range of feelings, from stress to anger.

Nick Tovell, Atrium counsellor, is helping to host the event. He said: “It is very easy to get into a negative cycle. If you think things are going to be bad and you can’t change them, then chances are things will be bad.

“But we hope this event will show people that, with a little bit of positive thinking and retraining, they can turn their lives around and deal with stress, anxiety or anger in a much more positive way.”

Atrium also hopes to show that healthy eating and exercise can also help lift your mood.

The Atrium team will be at Leigh Primary Care Centre, 918 London Road, from 10am to 1pm on Tuesday, June 30.
