A BLAZE of colour and a heady scent greeted visitors to the Thorpe Bay Horticultural Society summer flower and homecraft show.
Visitors’ senses were assaulted on entering St Augustine’s Church hall, which was stacked with entries.
Phyll Williams, from Thorpe Bay, won the Claydon Trophy for most points in the homecraft section, Brian Everett, from Great Wakering, won the Rose and Cramphorn trophies, while Janet Stables from, Thorpe Bay, was awarded the Warner Trophy for her floral art exhibit.
