YOUNG entrepreneurs donated more than £250 to a charity set up in memory of England’s World Cup winning captain Bobby Moore.

As part of the Young Enterprise Challenge at the Appleton School, in Benfleet, a group of Year 10 pupils sold signed photos of West Ham United players, making a £279 profit by the end of the year.

The group decided to donate the money to the Bobby Moore Fund, which was set up in 1993 in memory of the West Ham defender, who died of bowel cancer.

The charity has since raised more than £12million for research into the illness .

A representative from the fund, which is part of Cancer Research UK picked up the cheque from the boys.
