A DOG was cruelly dumped from a car before its owner sped off.
The Staffordshire bull terrier was found cold and shaking in the early hours of November 11, after the driver ditched the female dog on the driveway of a home in Rainbow Lane, Stanford-le-Hope.
The black-and-white bitch has since been taken to RSPCA kennels in Rochford, where staff are appealing to residents to offer her a new home.
RSPCA Inspector Matt Gough collected her and said: "It's disgusting that some people are willing to just dump an animal and there is no excuse for neglect like this."
Anyone interested in adopting the animal can call the Rochford RSPCA on 07749 175023, while anyone with information about the person who dumped her can confidentially call on 0300 1234 999.
