FOUR men have been arrested following an attempted armed robbery at a Hadleigh supermarket.
The men struck at Morrison's, in London Road, at about 8am today and the police helicopter had to be scrambled.
Officers fired three tyre deflating rounds at a Nissan Navara to catch their suspects.
It was a joint operation between Essex Police and the Metropolitan Police Flying Squad.
The four men were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to rob. No one was injured in the operation. MORE DETAILS TO FOLLOW.
