A TRAFFIC warden had a cigarette stubbed out in his face by a passer-by.

The 55-year-old warden was writing in his notebook in Quebec Avenue, Southend, when he was approached by a man and a woman.

The man started to use offensive language which made the warden look up to see who was responsible. The thug then stubbed a cigarette into the warden’s left cheek before walking off.

Police are now appealing for information to the attack which happened at 2.40pm on Wednesday, February 10.

The man was white, about 5ft 5in tall, of medium build and aged between 25 and 30. He was wearing a black top, brown trousers and black shoes.

The woman was also white, about 5ft 6in tall, aged between 25 and 30 and of skinny build. The woman was wearing a blue top, blue jeans and white trainers.
