A ROBBER fired a gun at a store on Canvey during an attempted heist.
He entered the Mace Store in Canvey High Street and fired a black air pistol in the air at about 9pm on Wednesday. A 66-year-old male shop assistant in the shop was not injured.
Police are now appealing for information about the attack. Their suspect is 5ft 10ins tall, of medium to large build, and was wearing a green short combat style jacket with a hood, a black balaclava and white sunglasses.
He made off on foot. anyone who has any information about the incident is asked to contact Benfleet CID on 0300 333 4444 or or CrimeStoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, who offer rewards of up to £1000 for information which leads to one or more people being arrested and charged.
