Firefighters rescue dog from park railings
FIREFIGHTERS based in Hawkwell were called out at 12.45pm Thursday when a Jack Russel dog got stuck in railings in Hawkwell Park.
They used a set of hydraulic cutting and spreading tools to release the dog named Kia.
Leading firefighter Rick Jones said: "Kia was stuck fast so we used the tools to open the bars up a bit and Kia seemed fine, she jumped straight into her owners arms."
Kia was back in her owner’s arms by 1pm.
