FIREFIGHTERS are still at the scene of a devastating fire in High Street, Billericay.
They are continuing to damp down the building after the blaze this morning, which damaged four businesses and caused a roof to collapse.
The street remains closed to traffic but open to pedestrians, and cars are being diverted along London Road and Western Road.
The cause of the blaze, which broke out in Oxfam shortly before 5am, is still being investigated but is not being treated as suspicious.
Damage has been caused to the neighbouring Clarks shoe shop, Silver Lotus restaurant and McCarthy and Murphy dental surgery.
